Get to the Point by AWKNDAFFR
2022
Activating a variety of vantage points—on the move, from above, within this existential plane and from somewhere other), Get to the Point by AWKNDAFFR presents a video essay that frames the conceptual premise of the project, Islandwide Coverage. Pairing textual expressions that emerged from the project's circuit of collaborations with nondescript footage filmed while travelling across Singapore, the installation of the video within a modified coin-operated ride machine performs as a tongue-in-cheek allegory for modern-day networks and infrastructures.
